Parker studied Plant Biology at North Carolina State University where her passion for native plants first began to grow. After graduating college, she spent several years working in a variety of greenhouse settings learning about plant research, production, and fungi. Parker spent one season at Metrolina Greenhouses before relocating to Asheville, NC where she ran her own small garden company for a year. After several years of landscaping field work and managing a local fine gardening company, Parker was ready to delve back into the nitty gritty plant work and found Carolina Native Nursery. In her free time, she loves to do yoga, crochet, and hang out with her cat.
